Don't Be Afraid To Cross It. Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Please don't take my air jordans. At any rate, the overall story of this poem is somewhat ridiculous. A young male seeking fresh gear so that he can feel excepted by his posse shoots and kills another for his air jordans. The dying boy instead of worrying about his own death pleads that his attacker does not take his shoes. What has the world come to? For a better life? When will peoples priorities realign themselves with what really matters?

I wrote a trilogy of poems, each taking a different obvious place in the events surrounding ground zero, however, only in the last one do I express my feelings on the issue. Fires ablaze, city 'a' craze. Horrors of the day, never going away. Burned to ground, burned to our souls. Leaving the nonrefillable hole. Panic, confusion, anger fear. The end is near. The end is here. Terror fades away, but pain didn't even delay. Problems mounting by the day.
