My group never keeps track of xp or gold. this was a mild ongoing frustration for whoever happened to be DMing at the time. Over time we tried a bunch of different ways of hacking it;. Simple numbers - minions worth 1 xp, bosses worth 2-5 xp. Carousing xp - 1000 xp for every 1000sp wasted in revelry. DM's discretion - DM would regularly just award levels when the time seemed right. About to start running a facebook d&d game. the theme is post-apocalyptic kung fu wizards. sort of a fist of the north star kind of thing i guess. My previous homebrew d&d system had like 15 classes and 8 playable races, which i think we can all agree is pre ridick. My buddy Jack Mack.
