Who and what influences what i write. Thursday, January 6, 2011. Brother Nouman Ali Khan. These days I find myself searching for this brother's lectures on YouTube. He's amazing with tafseer of the Qur'an especially from a literary point of view. Also, I find that everything he says usually always hit me. His examples are just and real and really what's happening right now. Alhamdulillah for such a good guy. And to me, his biggest influence on me is to study Arabic and to learn the Qur'an.

The idea of paying 10 bucks for two hours of puristic entertainment in the dark. For a Muslim, this does not make sense. There's that idea of first of all paying for mere entertainment. Here's a picture and link for the Indonesian version. I'm sure there's an English version somewhere, so for English-speaking people, try to find it out. At the moment, I've gotten through the chapter on Solat. And after finishing that chapter, I understand Solat. I totally recommend this book to anyone who's serious in being a Muslim.
