Google Earth added viewable layers of historical maps of Japan and encountered an unexpected problem. This poses an interesting issue: if information can be misused, should it be hidden? Or at least provided only with a disclaimer or some background on why the information is controversial? Does the sheer size and reach of Google give it special obligations?
