Heaven's Gate: November 2007
http://retiredsabjimata.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
The place where Bhagavad Gita is lived. Tuesday, November 6, 2007. The Only Thing Certain. Mother Lalitamrta left her body Sunday morning at 7:45. Everyone thought she would be here for a while and from what I heard, devotees were surprised that she left so soon. We were away in NJ but were told Mother Lalitamrta's passing was peaceful. She arrived at Gita Nagari Thursday morning and Krishna surely fulfilled her strongest desire: to leave at Gita Nagari with Radha Damodara's devotees. I, Me and My Blogs.

The place where Bhagavad Gita is lived. Wednesday, October 31, 2007. No Pleasure in the Material World. My husband has been gone since mid-day Friday. Since his departure, these are the highlights of our life:. Madhumati pushed a triplet from the top of a staircase. I caught the baby midway down). Madhumati fell down our staircase (she grabbed on to a step and resisted the inertia half-way down). Venumahdava totally freaked out when left with my mom Saturday evening. Okaymaybe this post should be called ...

Heaven's Gate: August 2007
http://retiredsabjimata.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
The place where Bhagavad Gita is lived. Friday, August 31, 2007. Today we celebrated Mother Kaulini's birthday (which actually took place yesterday). A surprise party was scheduled at 1 at our house. Since it was the middle of a weekday and only the third day of school for the children, I did not expect many devotees to come. After her initial bout with emotion, she headed into the kitchen asking, "What can I do to help? Quickly finishing up in the kitchen, we all assembled in the prasadam hall where bri...

Heaven's Gate: Sadhu Sanga
http://retiredsabjimata.blogspot.com/2007/10/sadhu-sanga.html
The place where Bhagavad Gita is lived. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. Today Venumadhava was telling me all about Kuvalapida. I was surprised that he knew Kuvalapida was a demon elephant. I asked him how he knew so much about Kuvalapida. Narayan is 7 months senior to Venumadhava, lives in my hometown of Sayreville,NJ and attends O.L.V. (Our Lady of Victory)Catholic preschool. I'm glad my son found some good association for himself. Posted by Devadeva Mirel. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Blogs I look at.

Heaven's Gate: May 2007
http://retiredsabjimata.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
The place where Bhagavad Gita is lived. Wednesday, May 30, 2007. During Romapada Swami's initiation talk, he said that Radha Damodara are wish fulfilling Deities. He said if we didn't believe him, we could see for ourselves by making a prayer to Radha Damodara. This reminded me of Prabhupada's instructions to sell Gaura Nitai Deities on the street as "wish dolls." Radha Damodara are definitely in the mood of Gaura Nitai, famously traveling in a bus to spread Lord Caitanya's sankirtan mission. I am accust...

Heaven's Gate: April 2007

The place where Bhagavad Gita is lived. Friday, April 27, 2007. The Kitchen" is coming along. Photos are not in order but self explanatory.). There have been some setbacks, some moments to give us all pause, but mostly there has been progress. As I obsess about the details I have to keep reminding myself of what the place previously looked like. Basically, it was unfit to photograph. And for emphasis.Ha! As evident from this posting, "The Kitchen" is a full time job. Today we picked daffodils for Kri...
