Sunday, 23 March 2014. Silk tulle tambour embroidery. Attempted sample using tulle. The design was not intentional to look phallic. But one day my working ideas might look as good as these. Links to this post. Saturday, 1 March 2014. Practice makes it better eventually. Still a long way to go before I become anywhere near professional but I'm getting there. Links to this post. Pauline Easby: December 2012
http://embroidererspicnic.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 31 December 2012. Oh also done this in the last couple of months. All the fabric became slightly warped. I must make sure I stick to my original plans esp-ecially when it comes to cutting fabric the wrong way. Well at least I have learned something very important always cut along the vertical not the horizontal. What I am annoyed about is I knew this already. Guess i will put it down to tiredness and trying to cost cut. Links to this post. Just realised how busy I have been also done these. So th...

The wonderful ladies at Embroiderers guild Merseyside have also been in touch with me asking if I would be interested in doing a workshop, obviously I said yes! So finally things are starting to come together. Links to this post. Monday, 8 April 2013. What have I done? Links to this post. Monday, 1 April 2013. So where do I go from here?

Pauline Easby: Thought I had it
http://embroidererspicnic.blogspot.com/2014/02/thought-i-had-it.html
Thursday, 20 February 2014. Thought I had it. I thought chain stitch then beads was difficult but tried sequins this week and they are difficult probably because they are so small, then just as I thought I had the hang of it I decided to try the next stage advanced tambour, working on a thick fabric, felt! Well lets just say the images say it all. Back to the drawing board. I know this was not meant to happen but I do love the effect of the pearl beads on the left. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Sunday, 5 August 2012. Keeping on the right track. My ideas are spirilling out of control. Not sure where the ideas are ggoing to go but if I can capture someof this energy I will be happy. Other influences and inspiration will come from films like gone with the wind, pinocchio, judy Garland, 1939 worlds fair at New York, and this is just 39 - 40. Links to this post. Pauline Easby: January 2013
http://embroidererspicnic.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, 6 January 2013. Its taken all day to post these images. My attempt at Hardanger embroidery. All I can say is very difficult. This shows how difficult it is getting the correct tension on the thread. Pulling thread too tight will pull the weave of fabric leaving major problems when tyring to pull threads through to create openwork designs. These samples together reminded me of pac man. Well Group 2 of Hand and Lock did same combine with space age 1969, albeit Pac man is slightly later than 1969.
