I used to love line drying clothes, but when our little guy came along I just couldn't make the time. My original plan was to make my own. When I started shopping for wool yarn, I discovered already made organic wool dryer balls for cheaper from The Willow Store. So I bought some, and tried them out tonight while drying A's diapers. I'm practically ...

A family's quest to leave a more socially responsible planet for future generations. Saturday, November 16, 2013. Little A's Birth Story. On Monday, November 4, my due date, I started having some regular contractions. I timed them for an hour- 8 minutes apart exactly. I called the midwife on call just to let them know I was having regular contractions. Then I text my mom and Julie to warn them they might be on call. And then, the contractions stopped. I pushed for an hour before she was born. St Paul Are...

A family's quest to leave a more socially responsible planet for future generations. Friday, January 11, 2013. First attempt at homemade body scrub. For this bride, I went pretty tame and put together a Spa Day package, but sassed it up with some notes. Aphrodisiac" Cocoa and Vanilla Body Scrub. Makes 2/3 qt or 2 2/3 cups). 1 cup sunflower oil. 1 Tablespoon cocoa powder. 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract (if you can afford vanilla essential oil, a few drops of this would be better). World of Good by EBay.

A family's quest to leave a more socially responsible planet for future generations. Monday, February 20, 2012. I sprinkled some on and let it sit overnight. When I washed it later, I forgot where the stain was located and held up the shirt to N saying "it's gone! He says, "No it's not." The stain was about 2 inches above where I was pointing. So next I tried hand washing it in our Seventh Generation dish soap. It worked! Posted by Jodi and Nate. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Maplewood, MN, United States.

A family's quest to leave a more socially responsible planet for future generations. Wednesday, January 11, 2012. What to do with your old meds? It's been nearly a year since I was all doped up on giant Ibuprofen and Tylenol with Oxycodone (because of my c-section, not because I'm a recovering narcotics addict! New regulations have helped solve the problem. In which you drop off your drugs, and they dispose of them by burning them and converting that to energy. Here are more reasons why. I'm sure there a...
