Cloves Endless Uses | Ingredient Studio
https://ingredientstudio.wordpress.com/2011/11/09/cloves-endless-uses
Try something new with your food. By Marité Acosta on November 9, 2011. Nothing sets off the Fall kitchen like the smell of warm spices baking. By now there is no doubt that you have some fresh cinnamon in your pantry. Next up is cloves. This spice comes from the dried flower bud of a tree native to the Indonesian islands and are now harvested in many countries such as India and Madagascar. While the Dutch use it as a flavoring in the ever-traditional and beautiful speculaas. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Try something new with your food. By Marité Acosta on February 26, 2013. Still in the midst of my ongoing love affair with the Cavolo Nero (aka Lacinato, Tuscan, Dinosaur, Black). I prefer it raw and in any salad imaginable. Here’s one of many great combos. Kale – Beets – Quinoa Salad. 1 bunch Lacinato Kale. 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil. 1/2 cup red or white quinoa. 1 small Granny Smith apple. Zest and juice of 1 lemon (*more if desired). Salt and freshly cracked black pepper. 2 cups baby arugula.
