I'm a Saffa in a Strange Land.Welcome to my world! Monday, March 05, 2007. When planning a girly getaway for February the first and most important criteria was the weather. If you have lived in Ireland or the UK during winter, you will understand. Following that, since we were going to be girls only, we wanted good shopping and so it happened that my stepdaughter and I were met at Barcelona airport by my sister, who flew in from London to meet us. The beer was good. Very good. And the waiter was ...If a ...

They should talk to the people at Honda! I know this, just take my word for it ;-). And it gets there. Yes, it is insane. but have you. There is also the...

I'm a Saffa in a Strange Land.Welcome to my world! Monday, August 08, 2005. Sunset in Gouves, Crete. What you are about to read is a very long blog, so you may as well grab a cup of coffee and get comfortable, because you're about to hear all about. Our week in the Greek Islands, which is now officially my favourite place in the world for holidays. We left a cold, miserable, rainy Dublin last Saturday and flew directly to Crete, landing at around 10:30pm to find it was 28 degrees outside - woo hoo! Sunda...

I'm a Saffa in a Strange Land.Welcome to my world! Thursday, June 18, 2009. All being the 3 of you who still read this blog. You're still there, aren't you? Well we're about half way through our holiday and having a ball but man, being on holiday can be tiring. I've done more socialising in the last week than I have in the last 6 months. And I caught a cold. But that's OK, I'm surviving and it's great to be home. But he did, so I could, and you lucky things are the beneficiaries. We're going to see some ...

Terri's Web Stuff: What do you see when you look out your window?
http://terriweb.blogspot.com/2009/07/what-do-you-see-when-you-look-out-your.html
I'm a Saffa in a Strange Land.Welcome to my world! Friday, July 10, 2009. What do you see when you look out your window? From my desk I can see the top few floors of the buildings on the next block. Building 1 is a social housing type apartment block. The residents wear track-suits and yell a lot and I'm fairly sure many of the conversations we witness during the day could very well be drug deals. But who am I to judge. Yep, sometimes my life is just one big sitcom. Yours sounds much more interesting!

Terri's Web Stuff: Lost and Found in Paris
http://terriweb.blogspot.com/2005/10/lost-and-found-in-paris.html
I'm a Saffa in a Strange Land.Welcome to my world! Monday, October 10, 2005. Lost and Found in Paris. The Plan was simple. Mom and Lisa would fly from Johannesburg to Paris, arriving early in the morning. Three hours later, Jacky would arrive from London. Since both flights were landing at Terminal 2, Mom and Lisa would have plenty of time – around 3 hours – to make their way from Gate F to Gate B, where they would meet Jacky, whereupon they would all make their way to the RER (train) station. She replie...

I'm a Saffa in a Strange Land.Welcome to my world! Sunday, July 27, 2008. The island with two names. This is my 4th attempt at telling you about our Greek island holiday in May. So what if it took me having a week off to recover from surgery. To get the thing finished? The point is it's here. And it's long. You might want to get comfortable for this. Closed; it was just a bit early in the season and the unwashed masses had not yet arrived. That would happen in a week or two. It probably should have taken...

I'm a Saffa in a Strange Land.Welcome to my world! Sunday, May 03, 2009. Holiday, Portuguese style. I'm going to give you the abridged version of the Trip Report this time. Hm, I guess I should say a bit more than that. OK, here goes. HOTEL TIVOLI ALMANSOR, CARVOEIRO, PORTUGAL. We took it easy for the first couple of days, then did one or two things in between relaxing. Being a de facto Irishwoman, it would be remiss of me not to mention the weather: It was Great! There were still a few moments of angst ...
