Wednesday, August 12, 2015. This is a painting I did recently of my friend, Maria. As usual, I sketched in pencil, inked in the figure, and then painted with watercolor. As you can see, I only outlined the figure. Since Maria is the main focus of this painting I wanted to make sure I only accentuated her and didn't draw attention away from her by inking the background. So I spun quite a bit of my purple wool onto my drop spindle and now I’m going to switch to green. I’m really curious to see how the two colours look when plied together.
