Life in the Fisher home: February 2015
http://www.lifewithfishers.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 19, 2015. A week ago Elena had her tonsils and adenoids removed. We've debated doing this for almost 2 years and finally decided to proceed after a constant cough never got better in the winter. So far the cough is still here but we pray it will soon go away as her throat heals to a new normal. Here we are at the hospital. Changed into her scrubs and waiting for her turn in the OR. At Children's they give all patients a friend before surgery. Meet Tortilla the giraffe:). Yesterday (Thu...

Life in the Fisher home: September 2013

Saturday, September 21, 2013. On Friday I went to the doctor and said goodbye to my cast! So on Saturday we celebrated with a family day. We decided to head up to the Amish Country for a fun adventure. We headed up I-71 and got off at the Bellville exit. We wanted lunch and wanted to avoid chain restaurants. What a great idea because we saw this diner that looked like a train and decided to try it out. Climbing into the upper seats for a view. Ready to sample many types of cheese. And here I am walking!

Friday, May 30, 2014. End of the school year. Today marks the last day of school and Brandon had a family picnic. He has officially ended his kindergarten year and will be going to 1st grade at Elena's school next fall. We've had a great time these last 2 years at Northside Montessori School and thank Mrs. Pak for her great teaching and leadership. We also thank her husband, Mr Pak for his role at the school too. He was the one who hung out with the extended care kids and during afternoon recesses. These...

Life in the Fisher home: Elena finishes 3rd grade
http://www.lifewithfishers.com/2015/05/elena-finishes-3rd-grade.html
Monday, May 25, 2015. Elena finishes 3rd grade. Elena is almost done with 3rd grade and has had a good year. She added Sylvan 2 nights per week to help improve her math and it's been helping her quite a bit. She and Molly (our cat) are the best of friends and each morning Molly waits at her door to go in when she wakes up. And Molly lets Elena carry her around the house. It's a very cute thing to watch. At church we are talking about how science and the Bible actually support each other and our children'...

Life in the Fisher home: Recovery time fun
http://www.lifewithfishers.com/2015/05/recovery-time-fun.html
Saturday, May 30, 2015. Here I sit with 2 cats that love to keep me company. They have been my constant companions pretty much since I got home from surgery on Tuesday. Brandon loves my scooter. He learned how to drive it with his feet on the wheels. He's greatly enjoyed wheeling it around the first floor. Molly (our cat) is not so crazy about riding the scooter. Yesterday he was trying so hard to be careful around my foot. At one point he even kissed it. Silly boy:). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Life in the Fisher home: October 2013

Saturday, October 12, 2013. Today we headed to the pumpkin patch for our annual day of fun! We dressed in layers for a typical fall day but as soon as we got there we took off our long sleeve shirts. The kids had fun wearing them for a moment. How tall this fall? She is growing into such a beautiful girl. Up to no good :). Everyone having a good time. Posing with the pumpkins. We did the corn maze. I probably should have sat this one out but I did not…. Brandon’s smile and sad face – silly boy.

Life in the Fisher home: Surgery #3 for me
http://www.lifewithfishers.com/2015/05/surgery-3-for-me.html
Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Surgery #3 for me. 3rd times a charm right? I hope so. The nurses at the surgery center were joking with me as this is my third time there and my first nurse Karen even joked that I should find another way to get attention. Oh believe me I'd be glad to have this as my final procedure. He diagnosed a neuroma (inflammation of the nerve) and tried a steroid shot. That brought almost no relief so the only other option was surgery. Here are mom and I in the Butterfly Place in San Juan.
