Today I visited the Orrido di Botri, a nature reserve close to the village of Montefegatsi. This deep gorge of the river Pelago. Have been the role model for the Hell's Gate in. Actually I am more for dogs than for cats. But this six are too cute not to have some picts of them. And one can sit for hours just to watch how they are exploring the new world around them …. Pictures from a car exhibition showing 1950s and 1960s cars from the Soviet Union. Actually not so much difference from US car design (and fuel consumption) of that time. ;-). The KZ Wiener Neudorf (about 15km south of Vienna) was a satellite camp of the KZ Mauthausen. The prisoners, mainly from Estonia, Poland, Russia, France, Germany and Austria, were used as forced labour workers in the "Flugmotoren-werke Ostmark" (operated by Daimler-Benz). Re-edited some pictures from the Karabasch series. Somehow black and white works much better (at least for me). The mining town of Karabasch, situated about 1,800 km east of Moscow in the Ural Mountains, is one of the World's most polluted locations. A copper smelting plant is situated in the town since 1910, which is emitting extremely large amounts of pollution.
