The Peace Centre was created in the 1970s. It was part of the home of Mr and Mrs. F.A. Riley-Smith but totally self-contained. Local people were welcomed and it became a place greatly used by the churches and community. It had many facilities for families and groups of all ages. Not least a swimming pool! Christotherapy therefore places great emphasis on teaching how to relax the body. Often when the person learns these techniques successfully, there is the most dramatic release from mental tensions.
