It’s one of those oversung songs that have been classified a commercial holiday tune, but this season, i heard it for the first time. Hark the herald angels sing, glory to the newborn King. A New Bible for a New Season. Leave a comment ». For me, the short answer is that it is under His staff alone, under His power, authority, reign, and ultimately love, that we find true shelter, comfort, stability, peace… everything we require to live our lives. As I find myself trembling at my smallness and God’s bigness in how He will work out these present circumstances in my life, I’m glad to have found a friend in this psalmist and I’m relieved to be under His good staff the Law.
