http://chasingtheblackwood.blogspot.com/2010/11/worlds-most-efficient-workout.html
Chasing the Blackwood Marathon. Saturday, November 13, 2010. World's Most Efficient Workout ? I suppose this workout isn't going to be too efficient or effective if I don't do it, eh? I was going to do Workout 2 Friday morning at 6am, but I was so very very tired. I have been tired and my tummy upset again this past week. Very frustrating. So, I slept in Friday morning and then was determined to do it after I completed AquaGold at 3pm. But then I had to get my Working With Children Check renewal done!

Chasing the Blackwood Marathon: Must. Stop. Eating!
http://chasingtheblackwood.blogspot.com/2010/11/must-stop-eating.html
Chasing the Blackwood Marathon. Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Must Stop. Eating! There is a difference between appetite and hunger. For example, this morning, during circuit class, my stomach rumbled and growled. It felt empty. I was HUNGRY. Hunger is the physical. I ate some nuts and felt really satisfied. I stopped eating! At lunch time I ate a nice Caesar Salad. Just a little one, with some Banana Bread for dessert and I felt really good. I wasn't hungry or stuffed, I was nicely satisfied. I find that w...

Change it if it isn't going to work and feel perfectly comfortable for the event! Go to those hills and ride them, run them, cycle them. Paddle more, portage more. Build in more recovery. And cross training in training cycle.

Chasing the Blackwood Marathon: Workout #3 and Measurements
http://chasingtheblackwood.blogspot.com/2010/11/workout-3-and-measurements.html
Chasing the Blackwood Marathon. Monday, November 15, 2010. Workout #3 and Measurements. This morning I woke up with a little muscle tenderness in my lats! And I thought, "oh wow, maybe that was a better workout yesterday than I thought! You're supposed to have at least one day rest between workouts, but I did today's anyway, because I'd like to get back on and stick to the schedule. Today, I did my measurements and the 10 minute Advanced workout. 5 reps of each exercise for 10 minutes without stopping:.

Join me as I chronicle the life and times of a runner(ish), triathlete wannabe and craftaholic. Sunday, January 12, 2014. January 2014. I'm supposed to be uber fit, an organic farmer and self employed by now. I Am None. Of. Those. Things. Not even one. For a while, I felt like a big loser, but then I realized:. Ugh Yep, it's all me. I wish. A LOT. I DO. Very little. I have no one or no where to place the blame, but on me. I have the tools and the knowledge, I choose. How do I start? Where do I start?

Join me as I chronicle the life and times of a runner(ish), triathlete wannabe and craftaholic. Monday, May 27, 2013. Mike finished the upstairs of his shop for me. For my space. To use as I wish. It's been finished and painted for a year. Last night I finally felt the urge to begin to sort through and organize. This is the beginning of my new studio space and I couldn't be more excited! I encourage you to do the same. Again, not sure who to give credit to for this, but thank you whoever you are! Virtual...

Chasing the Blackwood Marathon: Recovery
http://chasingtheblackwood.blogspot.com/2010/11/recovery.html
Chasing the Blackwood Marathon. Monday, November 1, 2010. Recovery has been interesting. I knew I'd be sore and I planned for that. I knew I'd be hungry and I planned for that. And I knew I'd be tired and planned for that too! But my body thrown me a few surprises along the way. I knew I'd be cold as my body temperature started to settle back into resting mode, but I was really cold. And on a 23 degree sunshiney day I was in the warmest jumper Rob could find me! Just what I needed! I have been hungry for...

Chasing the Blackwood Marathon: Lazy or Tired?
http://chasingtheblackwood.blogspot.com/2010/11/lazy-or-tired.html
Chasing the Blackwood Marathon. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Or a little of both? It's true, I gave myself a mental time-out from exercise following the Blackwood. I promised myself an "off-to-light" couple of months, nothing serious to train for, just the classes I have to teach, so I can recoup and focus on other things. I am sleeping in later - but I'm staying up later, too. I don't have. To be up any more. And I'm watching more pointless television. I'm wanting or having more naps. But I've been (re...
