Elise really wanted tohave a Dragon Parade on her birthday. We found colorful fabrics, Owen designed and built the dragon's head, and here it is:. The kids also planned, designed, and executed their own version of "pin the Fire on the Dragon". I almost missed it - they even did the game on their own without us! Very impressive. ANd yummy too. Salamander City: October 2010
http://beyondsalamandercity.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Life with kids, salamanders, cats, fish, gardening, knitting, and CHICKENS! Friday, October 29, 2010. Our Halloween season started out with a full moon Haunted Halloween hike at Bear Creek Lake Park. Our real costumes weren't ready yet, so the kids improvised from the dress up room. We got to show off these costumes to Grandma Bertie and Great Grandma Welty. Most of the costumes didn't stay on long. Too much baggage. Friends A and S were there! Elise was an Irish Bagpiper. Latecomers and sharp dressers:.

Tuesday, March 31, 2009. The girls recently made necklaces for a couple of their friends who were having birthdays (with Mom's help, of course! We went to a locally owned bead store to get the supplies. They picked out all the things the wanted on the necklaces, and here are the results! Olivia's necklace was a little simpler (she's only 5! She picked out a pretty butterfly charm, and then pink, blue, and clear crystal seed beads to go around it. I think it turned out really pretty! Sunday, March 15, 2009.

Friday, March 12, 2010. I've made the older girls scarves and Trey, so Ray wanted one! I was able to whip this up really quickly. It was easy, but he really likes it. Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Several of my friends and I made squares for a quilt for another friend. This quilt was created in memory of her daughter who died six years ago. I pieced the quilt together, and I think it turned out pretty well. The most important thing is that she knows how much we all love her and her daughter. UK lass in US.

Saturday, January 24, 2009. My friend's twin daughters are having a birthday next weekend. I sewed them some flannel pj bottoms. I bought two cotton t-shirts and sewed shapes from the leftover flannel. I think they look kind of cute! Here they are all wrapped up in cloth gift bags. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. I used the extra flannel from Trey's shorts to make 18 baby wipes. They are so soft! Monday, January 19, 2009. This was a super easy project, a pair of pajama shorts for Trey. Misty's Craft Blog: December 2008
http://mistyscraftblog.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Bags, bags, more bags, and a pumpkin shirt! Due to feeling crappy but not extremely crappy, I didn't work on anything that took too much thought today! I made my first t-shirt bags from t-shirts I purged from the closet. This is the first one. Once it was made, I realized that the handles were too long. I cut them shorter and sewed them back together. That size worked better, so this is my second attempt. This one will work out very nicely! Monday, December 29, 2008. I don't...

Misty's Craft Blog: Louie's blue cords
http://mistyscraftblog.blogspot.com/2009/11/louies-blue-cords.html
Tuesday, November 24, 2009. This pattern was a big pain in the butt. They kind of look like Urkel pants! I made the size three. I know Louie is small, but these pants were about six inches too long. I made HUGE hems, so hopefully they'll fit. I think he'll like them, and if all else fails - they can always go in the play clothes pile. I love the material though. My little lotus blossom you are there! November 25, 2009 at 1:21 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What have I done lately? UK lass in US.
