Because Being Healthy Should Be Delicious
July | 2012 | Insatiably Healthy
https://insatiablyhealthy.wordpress.com/2012/07
Because Being Healthy Should Be Delicious. Archive July, 2012. Summer is all about simplistic dishes. I usually just get inspired by the farmers market. Seared Salmon over top a bed of arugala, pear tomatoes, feta, and fig balsamic. When I have the chance to cook that is. Usually I make a smoothie in the morning to at least ensure one meal is homemade! I’m saving a ton of money on groceries though. The sad part about this is that I’ve had about three posts set to go last week. I’m on it! I love Vega foods.

Food Philosophy | Insatiably Healthy

Because Being Healthy Should Be Delicious. Though my food philosophy is still evolving, there are a few key things that have shaped it. In 2005, my mom began seeing a trainer, Marc. On occasion. It was due to his insights that I began to become obsessed with learning about fitness and health. This is when I started thinking of food as fuel and about its power to change the way our body’s function. It began with…. I have not yet applied this to all fish, but its something I hope to phase out in the future...

Because Being Healthy Should Be Delicious. Hemp Mushroom Chicken Quinoa. Immediately when I saw this recipe. I was inspired. It sounded so succulent. Garlic (I used 1/2 t of prechopped). Add garlic and quinoa into a pot over medium heat for 1 3 minutes. Add water to quinoa mix. VegFest 2012 →. You are comm...

Eat to Live to Eat. I’m really back…with bake sale ideas! February 16, 2011 · 2:07 am. BAKING extravaganza SNEAK PEAK! I am currently in the middle of a 48 hour report. So I gotta make this quick! This is it - THE granola bar! I have been baking lots lately! In addition to keeping my taste testing skills sharp. I like to bake because. 8211; I find whipping eggs, creaming butter. To be the best way to relieve stress. 8211; the house is warm and cozy. 8211; like a giant (almost vegan) cookie! Or for those ...

What a Long Break. 03/01/2012 at 3:33 pm. Worst blogger award goes to me. Since my last post, school has completely taken over my life and I really have had no time to do anything else. Luckily Spring Break starts on Monday so my brain is already on relaxation and fun mode. Other than school I really have not been up to much. Studying, doing physicals, and taking histories have been my life but I knew what I was signing up for. The swirly thing on top is sugar free maple syrup. When is your spring break?
Quinoa granola – Hungry Hungry Hippie

February 23, 2011. So Effing. Tasty. This was so much more simple than I thought it would be. I’m never buying granola again (yeah right), but stillI know what I like in my cereal so why. I make it to my exact specifications? Textural variety is the most important part of cereal, oats, granolashoot any food! None of this raw muesli bullsh! T, I want toasty! 3 Dried fruit and nuts. Not one or the other, both. Given all this, I decided it was high time I made my own mix. Hooked me up with this. I tweaked t...

What Kate is Cooking. Thou Shalt Not Fear Pancakes. Water, Water, Everywhere →. Ice, Ice, Baby. March 2, 2011. I like Wednesdays this semester. When my classes are done for the day, it means that I don’t have math until Monday🙂. I had grand plans of doing my 5 mile run right after class today, but then I decided I should do homework, which turned into running an errand for my mom… and then grocery shopping… by the time I got home, my motivation was gone! I feel better already🙂. Ice, Ice, Baby. I’...

What Kate is Cooking. Ice, Ice, Baby. I’ve Made the Switch! Water, Water, Everywhere. March 3, 2011. Thank GOD it’s Thursday! Three hours of work tomorrow stand between me and the weekend. Too bad it will be filled with homework! I had my alarm set for 5 am to go to cycling this morning, but I wasn’t feeling up to it because of the slight pain that is still present in my legs. Instead, I took it easy and stuck to an hour on the elliptical. More time to enjoy breakfast! I also bought pumpkin yesterday!

Insatiably Domestic | pursuing the Simple Life on a budget
Pursuing the Simple Life on a budget. October 24, 2013. My family recently found an old wooden lamp-post at our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. It looked like it had originally been for a gas lamp. When I mentioned to Hubby that it would make an awesome floor lamp he went right to the lighting aisle to look for a top for it. We found an old-fashioned looking brass ceiling fixture with a floodlight in the bottom, I just knew Hubby could make it work. He’s creative like that. October 19, 2013. At our h...

Ghosts of Depression Past. August 14, 2015. August 14, 2015. So despite having hit one or two “ruts” this summer, I would say I’ve been for the most part good. I’ve been seeing my therapist, I’ve been keeping habits that benefit my mental wellness, I’ve been feeling alright (but for the typical ups and downs of life). Today, this month, I wouldn’t call myself depressed. Here are my top ten sometimes irrational, always unhelpful Depression thoughts:. 4) The anxiety when family and friends and acquaintance...
