From what I gather that's stingray, a cartilaginous fish made edible by letting it rot until the uric acid breaks down into ammonia and softens the cartilage. So yes, it's as bad as it sounds, and I can still feel the ammonia in my throat. Some people love it, some people get ammonia poisoning symptoms ;þ. Or Leave a comment.
