The Florida Forest Service staff has done a good job of demonstrating this. I received a press release today that said the Florida Forest Service burned more than 246,000 acres of state forests over the last 12 months, the highest number ever reported by a state forestry agency in United States history.

Italy’s Mauro Santambrogio won the 14th stage of the Giro d’Italia, but it was anything but a normal race. The riders battled wind, rain and snow, and the course was changed because of avalanche threats. Italy’s Vincenzo Nibali extended his overall lead. The $50 million that the state legislature approved last month to fill the gaps in the Coast-to-Coast Connector was one of the items — one of the largest items — vetoed by Scott who used his line-item veto power on $368 million in spending.
