Inspire Design

Friday, June 5, 2015. It seems to be model home season! Currently I am working on model homes for a few builders that I work with. Check out the finishes that may possibly end up in one of the latest ones I have been working on. It seems that opaque finishes on cabinetry are all the rage and I have to agree - they are awesome! Friday, May 29, 2015. Another day of drafting. Saturday, May 23, 2015. Friday, May 22, 2015. My other favorite is a bar - take a peek at this bar we just finished for a parade home...

Inspire Design: Renovating in Place

http://inspiredesignbysarah.blogspot.com/2015/05/renovating-in-place.html

Saturday, May 9, 2015. Just because you choose to renovate doesn't mean you need a hammer to start busting down walls! Check out this adorable kitchen in town I did where we stayed in the exact same footprint as the original kitchen. The species is Cherry in a nice dark, rich stain. We used quartz for the countertops - the perfect finish for this active family! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). FOLLOW MY BLOG BY EMAIL! Another day of drafting. Inspire Design: July 2012

http://inspiredesignbysarah.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Tuesday, July 24, 2012. I am both excited and sad to say that this project is completed and now home to such a wonderful family! It is always a bittersweet ending to a project when working so close with amazing clients.so sweet to complete a fabulous project and have them feel overjoyed and comfortable in their new home but bitter to have withdrawals from seeing, talking and working with them every day! Another one of my favorite parts of the home (there are many! The vanity wall is the focal point. ...

Inspire Design: Board Building

http://inspiredesignbysarah.blogspot.com/2015/05/board-building.html

Tuesday, May 12, 2015. One of my favorite parts of design studio in college was constructing presentation boards. Check out this board ready to roll for a contractor to pick up for a proposal for a new worship location in town. I never know what type of feedback I will get when sending my boards off to be presented to people I have not yet met but look forward to finding out! The goal was to create a warm, neutral space that will be timeless and budget friendly. I think we nailed it!

an artistic abstraction: Step One: Remove the circa-1974 Room Divider

http://anartisticabstraction.blogspot.com/2015/03/step-one-remove-circa-1974-room-divider.html

Step One: Remove the circa-1974 Room Divider. I love our house. It's a 1974 split level - back when split levels meant you walked into a real foyer with room to take off your shoes, set down groceries, and have more than two people come in at a time. One thing that wasn't so hot was this room divider the previous owners installed decades ago. Best way of going about patching where the room divider came from? The walls were easy; the floor needed some creative thinking. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Snowball Project: New Home for Cookbooks. Since the divider shelf from my home came down, there were the obligatory knock knacks and photos that needed to be dispersed elsewhere. Those were easy. But it took some thinking to answer 'where should my cookbooks be relocated? Luckily, my handy husband Dan helped me out on this one. Spare laminate shelves cut to size, then sanded, primed, and painted - voila! An extension of our kitchen cabinets. Step One: Remove the circa-1974 Room Divider. View my complete ...
