LowPass Filters

Lowpass Filters are electronic filters that allow certain desired low frequency signals to pass but filters or attenuates signals higher than the desired frequencies. In reality, the filtered signals are not blocked but rather the amplitudes of those frequencies are reduced. The cut-off frequency is the frequency above which the attenuation occurs and can be determined by the filter design. Instec’s EMI Filters are excellent Lowpass Filters and offer protection from Electromagnetic Interference.

Is defined as any unwanted electrical signal that is radiated or conducted into or out of the electrical equipment, which may disrupt the normal operation of the equipment. EMI can be continuous or intermittent. EMI comes from multiple sources including naturally occurring sources such as lightning and solar flares as well as manmade sources including power lines, radio waves, and all manner of other sources.
