Thursday, January 8, 2015. Here we are 8 days into the new year, things are pretty good. New Year's Eve was a little rough but I made it through and I am excited for this new year. I know that it is just a date on a calendar but there is something so refreshing about starting a new year. It always feels so nice to say goodbye to the struggles and trials of last year and look forward to a bright and shiny year ahead! So here is what I am hoping to work on this year:. Our lamps being painted yellow and you...

Jen Nicholes: August 2014
http://jennicholes.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 14, 2014. I know that most of my post about infertility are depressing and angry but I wanted to share some feelings and upcoming things that are allowing me to feel a little more hope and just embrace my trial and look forward to the future. 2 - Paying for multiple cycles upfront. 3- Save, Save, SAVE! First, if any of you follow me on Facebook, we are building a team for a 5k at the end of August. This 5k is put on by Footsteps for Fertility. 5,000 grants as possible It works like a raf...

Jen Nicholes: July 2014
http://jennicholes.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 8, 2014. The month of May. I was going to try and update from my last update post but nothing really happened and too much time has passed so I will just recap the last few months. Before I jump into the big event from May we had a few changes in our church life. I was called as second counselor in the Primary Presidency. It is a crazy calling but I think I am finally finding my way. We have 220 kids from age 0-11 in our ward, needless to say Sunday's are a blur! My dad is crazy. After 7 fa...

Cakes and Guns: Catch Up (Ketchup)
http://zaksteele.blogspot.com/2014/08/catch-up-ketchup.html
Monday, August 18, 2014. Oops I really got behind this time. Which is pretty much what I say every time but this time I mean it. Moving from Texas to Chicago will do that to you though. So before I keep listening to more albums I am making myself at least give you a quick list. Leave on the Shelf. These are albums which I either didn't like, will never listen to. Again, or down right pissed me off. 375 Late for the Sky, Jackson Browne - Another Jackson Browne album? 357 Between the Buttons, The Rolling S...

Friday, September 26, 2014. Bat Out of Hell.sort of. Like a bat out of hell, I'm back at it. (Or simply I'm just typing on my laptop like a kid out of the burbs.). 356 through 340.life has been better but life has been worse. (It's a rainy gloomy day as I write this and it might effect my reviews. But sorry Dire Straits, you weren't getting through anyway.). And Uncle Bob's Midnight Blues. And see how they fit. Party rock anthems of their day. 352 - Brothers in Arms, Dire Straits: Moving on. 351 - Rust N...

Cakes and Guns: January 2013
http://zaksteele.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 26, 2013. 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - The Quest. So I decided to undertake a quest.I will listen to every album on the Rolling Stones 2003 list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, starting with 500 and ending at 1. Which is a crap load of music! And assuming the average length of an album is 45 minutes (why not I guess), that is over 15 days of straight music. Though I will not listen each album all at once. That would stupid. But I do intend to listen to each album.

Cakes and Guns: November 2012
http://zaksteele.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 26, 2012. The Planet of Naissance, where, before The Great Flame and The Deep Cold, the Vertige once lived. This story started with the picture below. I have been fooling around with Photoshop for years now I had decided I wanted to make a planet. That got me to thinking what I would call this planet. And why did it look so dead. And who once lived there. The following story is taken from a history book found on the planet Melmac. Once they were deployed Naissance and the Vertige didn't ...

Cakes and Guns: May 2015
http://zaksteele.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 28, 2015. This time I mean it. Quick and dirty. I got behind. Let's clear the cache. I'm sorry there isn't a whole lot of quality content here but. 327 - Liz Phair, Exile in Guyville: I give it 50-50. She's angry and tired of the drama of dating or trying to find love or something like that. Early 90s, dyed in the wool. I look forward to listening to Disintegration again. Will bring me back to this one. 323 - The Police, Ghost In the Machine: I really have begun to love The Police along thi...
