Friday, May 10, 2013. Darker Theme 1.1: CSS Selector and OSGI Weaving. I am proud to announce Darker theme plugin 1.1 [1] for Eclipse 4.x platform. The reasons to be proud are two:. It gets 32 stars. As a one-day amateur work, I originally just try to experience and show the Eclipse 4 good stuffs[2]. But the community pushes the project forward. I decide to maintain the project constantly until we can get one better theme in the Eclipse itself of some time. Here, #SearchField Text. If you want to dig a l...

Being Eclipsed: Practices for Eclipse 4 Programming Model
http://jmj-eclipse.blogspot.com/2012/12/practices-for-eclipse-4-programming.html
Monday, December 24, 2012. Practices for Eclipse 4 Programming Model. For "Eclipse 4 programming model"[ 1. I mean the way of how to program with the Eclipse 4.x platform, not the "Eclipse 4 application model"[ 2. Itself, although they definitely have some close relations. There are several tutorials[ 3. For the Eclipse 4 techologies. Here, I share some of practices in my last weekend theme plugin project[ 4]. The biggest advantages of Eclipse 4 programming model, IMHO, is that:. We have had the Guice[ 5.

The Occasional Eclipse: March 2008
http://occasional-eclipse.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
A tinkerer reporting from the shadowy corners of Eclipse. Monday, March 24, 2008. Surprise: Eclipse is me, too! My last word on the whole e4 thing will not be about e4 at all (since I'm following going through the instructions for the demo, letting the code speak for itself), rather it will be restating what's been said so many times before: Eclipse is me. Now, I'm not. The most active Eclipse committer/contributor ( Dave. And Doug are doing all the actual work in the XSLT tooling. In the WTP incubator.

The Occasional Eclipse: Red Clown-Nose Game
http://occasional-eclipse.blogspot.com/2009/10/red-clown-nose-game.html
A tinkerer reporting from the shadowy corners of Eclipse. Thursday, October 22, 2009. I love games, I really do. Just the other day, I found out I was in a game I didn't even know about. It's called the The Continuous Integration Game. And it's played on the Hudson instance on build.eclipse.org. And guess what, because I keep breaking the psychopath (XPath2) build. I'm placed almost at the bottom (that earns me -10 points), and dcarver. I certainly have room for improvement - let the games begin!

The Occasional Eclipse: Autonomy, Mastery, and bug 313989
http://occasional-eclipse.blogspot.com/2010/05/autonomy-mastery-and-bug-313989.html
A tinkerer reporting from the shadowy corners of Eclipse. Sunday, May 30, 2010. Autonomy, Mastery, and bug 313989. Dear diary: About a week ago, I took out a full 10 minutes from my day job. To watch an interesting video on YouTube about what motivates people. As recommended by David Carver. Autonomy" is right on target: Nobody told me to get involved with web tooling in Eclipse, this is purely an itch. For a free-time contributor, I believed I scratched my itch really good. Just "scratching an itch"?

The Gordian: What exactly is inside that p2 repository?
http://thegordian.blogspot.com/2010/05/what-exactly-is-inside-that-p2.html
If then such praise the Macedonian got. For having rudely cut the Gordian Knot. Wednesday, May 19, 2010. What exactly is inside that p2 repository? Wasn't it nice when we were able to point our web browser to an Eclipse update site and instantly see what's in it? Has it ever bugged you since that this is not possible anymore with p2 repositories? I've spent some time (with the help of Dave. To add the generation of a similar HTML outline to the new CDO build system. See our resulting p2 repository. May 2...
