On April 24, 2009 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. In less than three weeks I had a double mastectomy and all my lymph nodes removed. A week later I was also diagnosed with cervical pre-cancer. There is no way to adequately prepare for cancer. I could not imagine the changes my body and my soul would take. I eagerly awaited treatment so that the cancer would be gone, but at what expense? Get Ready to Romp! The Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer is March 3, 2012 in Frisco, CO. The event is capped at 2300 participants and usually “sells out” early. To my delight a small brown sign pointing the way to Grays. Torreys and Grays stand side by side at 14,267 and 14,270 feet respectively. Torreys is the more magnificent pointy peak and just three and half miles to the summit (three to the summit of Grays). Grays is the highest point along the Continental Divide. To Kansas →.
