Wow, when I said I thought things would slow down a bit on the blog this summer, I had no idea they would slow down this much!

Skip to primary content. January 7, 2013. January 8, 2013. We have started a Fruit of the Spirit study during Intentional Toddler Time. This is the book we are reading everyday, and Samuel loves it. The illustrations are gorgeous. We read this book three times in a row after dinner (plus some other books we keep available at the kitchen table). He loves books! This entry was posted in 2013. Teacher Turned Momma: November 2013
http://teacherturnedmomma.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 25, 2013. Tot School - Thanksgiving. Sophie is 18 months old. This week and last week were all about Thanksgiving! File this week's sensory play into the "regrettable" category! We also played playdoh with leaf cookie cutters. This was her first time trying cookie cutters and she really liked it. I think this girl needs a playdoh accessory set for Christmas! Her first tot tray was a printable I made for The Activity Mom. Her second tray was by far the favorite! I cut a foam ball in half ...

Teacher Turned Momma: February 2014

Saturday, February 8, 2014. Tot School - Triangles. Sophie is 20.5 months old. We continued on with our shape theme these past two weeks with triangles. Strange as it is, I had such a difficult time finding things around our home that were triangles! We ended up spending two weeks with this theme, because at the end of the first week we had just spent so little time in Tot School. I pulled back out the rainbow rice this week and it was a huge hit! Her second tray was a few pieces from the Who Lives Where?

Friday, June 20, 2014. Tot School: A is for Apples (Fruit Theme). Sophie is 23-25 months old during these activities. We started our first letter "week" back in March. Currently, it is still sitting on our Tot School shelf! A lot has happened in our life between now and then, and changing out the Tot School activities just hasn't been priority! Fortunately, Sophie is still enjoying the activities, so it hasn't been too much of an issue. Letter of the Week: Aa. Object and Theme: Apples/Fruit. This probabl...

Holism: The theory that parts of a whole are in intimate interconnection, such that they cannot exist or be understood independently of the whole. November 30, 2012. It appears that I have not posted to this blog in quite a long time. Today happens to be my final day of my Occupational Therapy Internship. 16 weeks of fieldwork, lots of college papers, notecards, and stress along the way; I finally made it! Cannot WAIT to get out there and do what love. That food is fresh in any way, shape, or form. Often...

Intentional Homemaking – Food – Family – Home
Posted on : March 26, 2018. It has been said that the true economy of housekeeping is the art of gathering up all the fragments so that nothing is lost. Making your own bread crumbs is an excellent way to reduce waste, both food and money. Have you ever made your own bread crumbs? Another great benefit to making your own is having control over the ingredients. Have you ever looked at the ingredients on a can of bread crumbs? It’s crazy what’s in there! Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Oh and try not to scatt...
