May 13, 2015. This past year has been quite an eventful and exciting year, which has obviously distracted me from my blog…. I’ve been focusing on my Architectural Registration Exams. In fact, I just took my third exam this week, phew! There are 7 exams total, so I still have a few more to go… slowly but surely checking them off. I’ll be a licensed architect by the end of the year, fingers crossed! I am having a blast at Clearscapes. And being included in another small space article. May 27, 2014. Bethany...

Shannon’s 770 sqft Chelsea Rooftop Loft. 8220;Tiny but terrific” →. A Year Without Buying Clothes. March 21, 2013. Clothes are a big part of our lives, and can be a big part of our budgets. In an attempt to simplify your life and save money long-term, could you commit to only “shopping your closet” for a year? Why did you decide to go a year without buying clothes? There were several reasons, but I primarily wanted to save money. I read about the idea in Real Simple. What were the rules? The rules were s...

Shelter: How Little Can I Live With?
http://shelterhome.blogspot.com/2013/11/how-little-can-i-live-with.html
Wednesday, November 06, 2013. How Little Can I Live With? Much more than I thought or want. Really. My thought was to purge a lot of unwanted stuff and start over this part of my life by living more simply but I still ended up with.say it again? Much more than I wanted. This is what was left after a packed-car trip to the new place! Does not include the furniture that I will take! I guess I will never be able to live like this:. All-in-one unit. Designer unknown. S o can anyone show me a seamster/sewist *.

Confessions of an Anchored Gypsy: June 2015
http://gypsyconfessional.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 8, 2015. Since I sit home almost all of the time and do absolutely nothing, I decided to get out of the house and start having a life before my summer is gone and I'm sitting back at work wishing I had enjoyed my time off. When a new acquaintance asked me to have dinner this evening, I figured "what the hell". I can honestly say that this was one of the best, most respectful men I've ever met. And I have not had a "date" like this in a very long time. I have no desire to even go there. Peopl...

Confessions of an Anchored Gypsy: May 2015
http://gypsyconfessional.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 25, 2015. Confessions: of an overworked gypsy. It feels like a huge injustice when something hits you right between the eyes. The reality of it is, whatever you got hit with was something you'd been needing. That's what happened to me today. I got smacked dead in the face. By life itself. His needs and wants always came first. So I was stuck swimming around various dead-end jobs until our divorce. That's when I decided to look after myself for a change. So much has been wasted. I am a Gypsy.

Confessions of an Anchored Gypsy: April 2015
http://gypsyconfessional.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 20, 2015. Back to square one. I didn't have this outlet when "square one" existed. So let me fill you in. I used to run. A LOT! And when I would get done, I would come home and sink into a nice hot bath with a glass of wine. Man, those were the DAYS (er, uh, nights? But I mean a habit that I had to do every day in order to feel complete. I was in shape. I felt good. I was healthy. And I was effing HAWT! Which brings me to my latest project: RUNNING! Labels: I puffy heart. Now, when you've b...

Confessions of an Anchored Gypsy: January 2015
http://gypsyconfessional.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 1, 2015. New Year, 2015. I've taken several days to clear my head. And I've tried to change all of those things throughout my life. The problem is, you can't change how you were brought up or what you were brought up into. I think that may be another problem I've had. I've tried for so long to deny what I don't want to be, that I lost sight of who I was. I stopped sneaking cigarettes! This is a HUGE step! I stopped smoking a good while back, but I've been sneaking cigarettes. And I ...

Confessions of an Anchored Gypsy: My mashakar
http://gypsyconfessional.blogspot.com/2015/06/mashakar.html
Monday, June 1, 2015. I spent last week thinking about where I am, and where I wish I was. Not that I'm ungrateful for my journey - it has made me a humble person and has taught me to see life for what it is. After feeling beaten and let down. And that is my mashakar. What was and what is. It makes my center. The truth is something I've learned to trust in. Forgiveness is something that I believe in though I struggle with my own. I believe restoration comes above restitution. I am content being alone, an...

Confessions of an Anchored Gypsy: February 2015
http://gypsyconfessional.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 9, 2015. Happiness is often a choice. What is it about happiness that drives people away? Why is it that a person can have complete happiness in front of them, yet they choose to keep running back to the same thing that has always dragged them down? I hear so many people complain about the person they are with, and how they are so awful. My response is "WHY are you with them? Of course, I usually get the same answers, like, "I love them" OR "I have no idea! Thursday, February 5, 2015.

Confessions of an Anchored Gypsy: Silver Linings and Sex Drives
http://gypsyconfessional.blogspot.com/2015/04/silver-linings-and-sex-drives.html
Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Silver Linings and Sex Drives. A silver lining is a term used to encourage someone to see the brighter side of things. I see a lot of dark clouds, and I can't always find the silver linings in them. I recently watched the movie. It was absolutely amazing! Partly because it was funny (yes, I love sarcasm and crude humor). But also because I could relate.to one of the most inappropriate and touchy subjects that few people around me even known about. Tiffany also has a sex addiction.

Intentionally Simple – Living an intentionally simple life! Choosing to live green, minimal and debt free while raising a family and living in a small home!
Natural & Green. Our dream to live on a small farm or homestead goes back to the very beginning of our marriage. We met through the FFA right after high school, married soon after and studied agriculture in college. We both grew up on family farms and had a desire to raise our children on a farm. We soon learned that it was illegal. That was hard. Then in early 2015, we found another home on several acres that we really liked and we submitted an offer after much prayer that was promptly refused. ...We ma...
