Home of Words and Wonder…. Update, not of the poetic kind, although I’m sure I could dip down into my murmuring soul/soil and find something there. But! Last month I finished the first draft of Throwaways. So I can quickly dust off my hands like it was never part of my life. I’ll be so glad when that book is behind me, although I love it very much, and it helped me power through some tough times. Tomorrow I’ve got a story out at Extract(s). You must be logged in. Home of Words and Wonder…. 8220;A Lesson in Metempsychosis” up at Extracts! My story, “A Lesson in Metempsychosis,”. Is up at Extract(s). Maybe it’s just a story. Let’s go with that. I mean, come on. A story with giant, soul-swapping crows? What more could you want? Also, it’s like 800 words, so it’s like twice as long as this meandering blog post about it. You must be logged in. Home of Words and Wonder…. I know this cow will die, someday. Or, if we didn’t practice the production of farming animals for slaughter, it might never be born at all and other varieties would be given the chance to evolve. So many varieties of animals have died or are dying out. Thanks to modern factory breeding techniques, as it is, that our lack of biodiversity is a serious worry. Clarion West, Vegan Style.
