The rice has a rich, nutty flavor. 1/2 C slivered almonds. 1/2 package vermicelli (or similar long, thin pasta). 5 C chicken broth. Brown vermicelli in butter over medium heat until golden brown. Thursday, August 19, 2010. Frozen Pudding Pops: Mint Chocolate. There is something really fun about making your own popsicles. We are getting a lot of use out of our poposicle molds this summer. Here is another favorite:. 1 small box instant chocolate pudding. 1 3/4 C half and hald. 10 Oreo cookies, finely crushed (food processor works best). 1/4 t peppermint extract. Blend pudding mix, extract and half and half in a blender until smooth. Stir in crushed Oreos by hand. Place in molds and freeze.

Hearty Mixed Bean Stew. 3/4 lb sweet Italian pork sausage, casing removed. 10 cups Swanson Chicken Broth (I used Shirley J's chicken bouillon with water). 1/4 tsp black pepper. 2 medium carrots, chopped (about 2/3 cup). 1 stalk celery, chopped (about 1/2 cup). 4 oz dried pinto beans (about 3/4 cup). 4 oz dried navy beans* (about 3/4 cup). 4 oz dried kidney beans (about 3/4 cup). 6 sun-dried tomatoes* in oil, drained and thinly sliced (about 1/4 cup).
