Both the 3G and the Wi-Fi versions of the Kindle Wireless Reading Device. Can now be purchased off the shelf. Amazon is using Tesco and possibly other stores as a new route to market, by making them available on the high street. This way Amazon can target new buyers who are not already Amazon customers. Look out for the Kindle at the Tesco.
