To bring a puzzle to life in the 2011 Microsoft Intern Game. I wrote an optical punchcard reader. The puzzle solver punched their answer into a punchcard form and presented it to a webcam. The software identified the punchcard in the video feed, decided which cells had been punched, and displayed a simulation of how a "robot" responded to those instructions.
