Monday, July 19, 2010. Sometimes, when you really want something, you are willing to take desperate measures. In this case, I really wanted to see James Taylor and Carole King in concert. Their Troubadour Reunion tour came to Phoenix on the same day we left for Japan, so we missed it. Phil said, "If our kids can follow their favorite band across the country, why can't we? Friday, May 16, 2014. May 15, 2014 - The shower door is installed and our bathroom is finished. We need to "pretty" things up yet. Pictures to hang and rugs to purchase. Phil is still painting the rest of the rooms and we are still working on redecorating the other living spaces. When it's all finished, I'll take some more pictures. Monday, August 31, 2009. We enjoyed another great Bruinooge reunion in Steamboat Springs, Colorado (Aug 20 - 29). Highlights of our reunion:. Getting stuck for over 1/2 hour in the gondola ride. Picnic of brats and burgers at Emerald Park. Hikes - Fish Creek Falls and Mad Creek. Celebrating Amy's birthday with sushi, cake and singing our family songs. Tubing down the Yampa river. Good eating: curry, sushi, take-out Chinese, enchiladas and tamales, Vietnamese. Pool time for all and tennis for some.

Sunday, February 21, 2010. First it was the roof. One too many leaks in the dining room, even though it doesn't rain much in Phoenix. We had to get it done. Then we decided to insulate and drywall the cement block TV/computer room. In the process, we thought we'd replace the old windows with energy efficient ones.
