http://hilltopgothic.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Renovating/restoring my vernacular gothic revival cottage in a neighborhood of mostly late-19th-century homes on a narrow, steep little street. Monday, May 18, 2015. I was cleaning out the front side garden one day when I discovered a bird's nest in the middle of the obelisk, which is covered with Sweet Autumn clematis. The next day I saw three eggs. A few days later there was Mama Cardinal on top of them. Look for the orange beak below. See her red tail feathers in the middle? Sunday, May 17, 2015.

We'll need to Bring in Top Soil When the Weather is Warmer. Columns have been added to the side Porch. Side Porch with Mahogany Deck. The weather with its ups and downs makes for slow outside work. Hilltop Gothic: September 2014

Renovating/restoring my vernacular gothic revival cottage in a neighborhood of mostly late-19th-century homes on a narrow, steep little street. Sunday, September 28, 2014. We've been here three times this year. One time they were photographing a container for their spring catalogue. Can't wait to see it. The photography session seemed quite informal, just someone with a tripod and camera in the field up from the store. The Lloyd Border is my favorite garden there. It's breathtaking in any season. Renovating/restoring my vernacular gothic revival cottage in a neighborhood of mostly late-19th-century homes on a narrow, steep little street. Monday, December 29, 2014. OK, so now I should list next year's goals. Go back to clean eating for my weight, not my health this time. Finish guest room. I've started at least. I also used drywall tape for the first time in my mom's living room, so I've gotten some practice in for the nasty closet re-do. Finish all exterior painting and touch-ups. I realized Ive ...
