In the Warm Hold of Your Loving Mind: June 2015
http://inthewarmholdofyourlovingmind.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Favorite Posts from 2011. Tuesday, June 30, 2015. What I Learned in June. A little bit of reflection on what I learned in June:. 1 There is such a thing as too much Mumford. 2 Nat Geo Wild. Is incredibly epic if you happen to be fascinated by predators and prey. 3 My little circle is so incredibly supportive. Now that everything we're going through. Is out in the open, I can't stop thinking about the people who were here when i. But I know I would be despairing deeply without these saints. So this brings...

Favorite Posts from 2011. Saturday, June 27, 2015. So this brings me to introduce the place where I am presently. I am not a Christian. I am not an atheist. I am somewhere in-between and really I find it rather uncomfortable. I’m rather tired of searching only to return to the exact same place. So, for the present time, I’ve stopped pursuing the larger questions that most belief systems try to answer (metaphysics, etc). It may, perhaps, be a bit easier if my children were not 4 and 6. 30 Day Blog Journal.

Favorite Posts from 2011. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Weekly Happenings #316 (April 20-26)- Our Last Full Week in Brooklyn (SOB). This was our last full week in New York. I don't know what to say except that it's been very bittersweet. And cold and rainy. Fortuantly, this week has been better in regards to the latter. I slept super late on Monday. Rainy day leftover packaging material fun (this is what Peyton did with the kids all day). Ways I'm weird: I woul pick an Orla Kiley collaboration ove ra Lilly ...

Favorite Posts from 2011. Saturday, January 31, 2015. Weekly Happenings Post #303 (January 19-25)- A First Goodbye, A Hard Week, and a Better Place. I gave the kids the felt I had used for our Jesse tree and they've been using it for dress up costumes for a couple of weeks. Today I walked in and Annie had made some "vines" for MonkMonk. Graves rested and I got on the computer. Peyton got home and I did school with Annie. She was SO distracted because she wanted to play with Peyton. Whoops. Somebody w...

Favorite Posts from 2011. Favorite Posts from 2011. Again, this is another post I did last year. And really enjoyed it. So much so that I made a link below my header for it. Last year I made the observation that I felt like my blog was a big smorgasbord with the variety of different posts. At points that's really bothered me. I've felt like it needed to be more cohesive- a blog about our daily life or. A place for deeper, more meaningful ponderings. I made it a goal. The Great Santa Debate. Herrington To...

McCarthys in Oz: January 2010

1st Day of School. Julia and Liam had their first day of school last week. Apparently we are as (un)talented at taking first-day-of-school photos as we are at taking family Christmas shots. 15 pictures later, this was the best I could do. It started raining when we got home that afternoon, and Julia was thrilled at the (rare) chance to don her raincoat and boots and stomp around in the rain. Liam looked forlornly at Julia's outfit (he's outgrown his coat and boots), so I loaned him my rain jacket.

Liam's war wounds (3 days later) from his run-in with a KANGAROO! The countdown to Julia's 3rd birthday is upon us. Her best friend, Caydence, turned three at the end of June, and we celebrated with a fun party at Rowdy Rascals (Julia has been not-so-subtly hinting that she should have her party there too). Julia and the birthday girl, Caydence. While the girls were off playing on the big climbing structures, Liam tried on all of their shoes. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Chris and Laura RTW Trip.

The blog spotlight has certainly been on Liam for the last few posts, but my little drama queen sure still steals (demands) the spotlight at home. At age 3, Julia is becoming wonderfully self-sufficient.not only does she insist on doing most things by herself, but she's now actually capable of doing them unassisted! In many ways Julia is a girly girl. She loves all things pink, carries her baby dolls everywhere and loves playing dress-up. Seriously, this boy is going to give me a heart attack! While we w...

Saturday, July 31, 2010. In the past two months, Gav and I have celebrated our 24th birthdays, celebrated in the birth of our 4th neice, Aven, and taken some trips here and there. So I am claiming the "better late than never" quote and catching up on my blogging. I also celebrated with the ones I love during my bday. My first time to hold Aven. Sela was so enamored with her new baby "seester". Aren't they are gorgeous family? Around 4 am.look at Sela's hair. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am happi...

Thursday, January 22, 2015. The First Goodbye (or "Damn,That was Draining"). I had thought that tonight I'd either work on recapping my 2014 goals on the main blog. Or that I'd not blog at all and go to bed early. I realized I needed to get a few things out, though. With almost the pitch of an opera singer. And Miss Patty herself, who I had just recently made friends with and discussed the struggles and joys of city life and who encouraged Annie, and also specifically Graves (she asked several times ...

In the War Between.
In the War Between. I had a romance novel inside me, but I paid three sailors to beat it out of me with steel pipes. April 25, 2014. There is something about change after someone passes away that feels like erasure. For everything I alter, it feels like I am replacing him. This is not unique, I'm sure, but it is something I am gravely unfamiliar with. This doesn't quite happen when a lover dies when you are 35. There is something about change after someone passes away that feels like erasure. For the las...

This blog was created to keep in touch with my family and friends who urged me to start a facebook page. They know my feelings about the facebook site and my staunch anti-communist leanings, but I had to find a compromise in order to keep in touch and share a little bit about whats going on in my life, without giving in to the craze. I also enjoy talking about current events and sports with all of you. I will post comments on whats going on in the world. I expect your opinions. Tired, hungry, cold anyone?

Favorite Posts from 2011. Monday, March 26, 2018. What I Learned in February. Actually, a few of these things are from January. And I'm hoping to have my What I Learned in March list up next week =). 1 So often material things simply don't bring the happiness I expect them to. 2 It's not easy to find products that are inexpensive, cute (or tasty), and healthy/sustainable/ethical. Someone even explained recently how Goodwill presents ethical issues (besides their sometimes problematic business practices) ...
