Saturday, August 22, 2009. A Week in Friday Harbor. Each year we try to spend a week in the San Juans. We started the week with just me and the kids. Mom and Joe showed up Tuesday and Nick, Michelle and the kids arrived on Wednesday night. We have kayaked, crabbed, fished, biked, Saturday Marketed (the best mexican food around), beach combed, played card games and slept outside on the deck every night. One night we saw an electrical storm over Mt Baker while we had clear sky over head. Elon is 1 year old.

Monday, August 17, 2009. Timothy and Little Crater Lake Hike. On a day hike to Timothy lake east of Government Camp OR. The first part of the hike led us to this amazing little lake. 45 feet deep and crystal clear. Look at this link to see more pictures. It was raining west of Govy Camp but we past it and had a dry day. Friday, January 9, 2009. Keegan Survives a Flood. West Ellensberg was under water. Keegan and Aaron with help of some friends manage to get the new appliances, important furniture, books and clothes of the ground before the water made it more than an inch high. By the end they had 4 inches. The sheetrock was underwater but the new cabinets are probably saved. Today they are in full clean up mode. December Snow in Portland.
