the great ufo resurrection - Have You Any Wool
http://haveyouanywool.typepad.com/have-you-any-wool/2008/01/the-great-ufo-resurrection.html
Have You Any Wool. The great ufo resurrection. Ive noticed that a lot of bloggers are doing this WIP Wednesday thing, and I think its a great idea, so Im going to join in. Im hoping that this will get me to post more frequently, and to not just pop in with a finished object from time to time, then fade into the background again. This time I used some leftover Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece (color: Pink-a-boo), and will have plenty for this sweater, as well as a pair of Saartjes Bootees. Jan 31, 2008 8:48:49 AM.

Have You Any Wool. Time flies when you're having fun. Well, its been a while since you last heard from me, hasnt it? The past month has been crazy, but in a good way. Travis arrived home safely the first week of February (a week later than anticipated), and everyone has adjusted extremely well. Hes gone back to work this week, so were settling into a new routine of normal once again. In Paris, we saw the usual tourist attractions:. We visited Notre Dame du Paris. As well as the Basilique du Sacré-Cœur.
Knitting by the Sea: February 2009
http://knittingbythesea.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Knitting by the Sea. My thoughts on knitting, spinning, raising a daughter and other such essential things. Friday, February 06, 2009. Would be proud. Coincidentally, the Gilbreth family lived in the town where I grew up - the house they owned was 2 blocks away from my family's house. The story goes that you could actually see the marks on the wood floor where the children rollerskated in the house. Of course, I can't help thinking about what sweaters/yarn may be coming in 2009. Random Fiber Ramblings: my fingerless gloves
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2004/12/my-fingerless-gloves.html
And other assorted hooey. Sunday, December 12, 2004. This is the "prototype" pair - I'm really pretty proud of these. I tried several patterns, and they all pretty much sucked bilge water, so I designed my own. :-) I made them with Briggs and Little Canadian Regal from Schoolhouse Press. I used size 3 dpns. I'm trying to write down the pattern as I knit them, but it seems that I'm the only one that understands the directions! Posted by Kim at 6:11 PM. Subscribe to Post Comments [ Atom. Random Fiber Ramblings: Secret Pal!
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2009/08/secret-pal.html
And other assorted hooey. Thursday, August 13, 2009. I'm still trying to put my Knitting Camp and vacation posts together, but I wanted to show you what my Secret Pal sent! Is reproducing many of the vintage patterns - this one is from 1899. I've been intrigued by these for a long time - I've had this site bookmarked for ages, but I've never actually bought any of them. I love vintage and antique patterns! Thank you, Secret Pal! Posted by Kim at 7:34 PM. Subscribe to Post Comments [ Atom. Im working on i...
Random Fiber Ramblings: Camp!!!
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2006/08/camp.html
And other assorted hooey. Tuesday, August 01, 2006. I'm home and (mostly) recovered from Knitting Camp, and I have to say - Meg and Co. I went to Camp 3 - the Oft-Timers camp - and I am so happy that I did! Warning - this is a VERY photo-heavy post! This is the view from my seat. Diane is on the right (more on her later! And on the left is Emily Ocker! Yes, THE Emily Ocker. Emily is a wonderful, funny lady, and she tells the most interesting stories! Camp 3 is structured quite differently from Camp 1.
Random Fiber Ramblings: Sidelined...again
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2009/08/sidelinedagain.html
And other assorted hooey. Saturday, August 15, 2009. I've been sidelined for a couple of days now, with the end *hopefully* in sight within the next week or two. The reason? Itty-Bitty, my smallest cat, REALLY didn't want a bath. He turned his head and sank his teeth into my right thumb joint. He's normally a very passive, mellow cat; he just freaked out and reacted. It turns out that cat bites are one of the most dangerous (and painful! Posted by Kim at 7:06 AM. I hope you feel better soon. Dear Kim, pe...
Random Fiber Ramblings: Margaretta Bear
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2004/09/margaretta-bear.html
And other assorted hooey. Friday, September 10, 2004. This is a duplication of the 1959 Margaretta letter sweater for my Dad's 45th reunion next weekend. I spun it from white and dyed corriedale, and then designed and knit the sweater. There's a "1959" duplicate-stitched on the left shoulder. The "M" is felted, and then stitched on (just like a "real" varsity letter! My first attempt at design! They're going to raffle it off at the reunion - I'm kind of hoping that my dad buys all of the tickets! Thigh-H...
Random Fiber Ramblings: All Knitting, All the Time!
http://sanityknit.blogspot.com/2005/07/all-knitting-all-time.html
And other assorted hooey. Wednesday, July 13, 2005. All Knitting, All the Time! I've been home for a day and a half, and I'm still having a hard time putting the words together to describe my experience at Knitting Camp. I can't believe how much information my brain was able to absorb! I have so many ideas swirling through my head, I don't even know where to begin. Well, I *should* begin by writing all of these ideas down before I forget them! Or a Elizabeth/Meg/Joyce book was there! The people at School...
