FITF: a medallion quilt top | Film in the Fridge
http://filminthefridge.com/2015/04/07/a-medallion-quilt-top
Film in the Fridge. A medallion quilt top. April 7, 2015. I didn’t set out to make a medallion quilt, but it would seem as though I have. I pulled out these fabrics recently. Pulling mostly from a fat eighth bundle of Anna Maria Horner’s Honor Roll line, and adding in other prints that I felt had that same kind of vibe. I started this one as I had just finished up my Liberty Churn Dash. Which I had pulled out of a magazine ages ago). And in the end I’m really happy with how it turned out! I absolutely lo...

Author Archives: susannah kate. I’ve started knitting. Socks to be exact! I’ve always been curious about sock knitting and was then inspired by Amanda of Hey Porkchop. And her awesome collection of hand knit socks. Amanda recommended the book Socks from the Toe Up. By Wendy D. Johnson. Another adventure I didn’t anticipate when I started knitting was yarn dyeing. I wanted all the crazy variegated yarns that I kept seeing on Pinterest so I did what any sane full time working mother of three would do&#...

FITF: Umbrella Prints Trimmings Challenge 2015 | Film in the Fridge
http://filminthefridge.com/2015/06/01/umbrella-prints-trimmings-challenge-2015
Film in the Fridge. Umbrella Prints Trimmings Challenge 2015. June 1, 2015. I always love this time of year when Umbrella Prints announces their annual Trimmings Challenge. I had the opportunity to be a judge one year, and last year I submitted this quilt. I thought I might just watch from the sidelines this year, but purchased two trimmings packs just in case.
