Along with a bit of the West Highland Way but had to abandon after the first day due to the weather which had seen me don full wet weather gear after mile one of what proved to be 18-miles; 18-miles of trudging with my head down. Entirely surrounded by water. Wednesday, 19 November 2014. With winter fast approaching (when swimming gets properly good) I really must bring my blog up to date. So here is a heavily abridged account of my summer swims, which had a distinctly Scottish theme. First of all was a Swimtrek. Holiday in Loch Lomond and some of the surrounding smaller lochs. 3 days of swimming in some truly stunning scenery, in crisp clean lochs with peaty depths.
