Hybrids . {trace}. April 17, 2008. Tear and tag team. The proposed site location will be at the base of the stairs between Jackson square and the mississippi river. A set of canvas screens will display animations created by the movement of pedestrians within a public space. Each drawing on each canvas will project animated snapshots at different time intervals. As people enter the space they interact with the pieces by viewing them. As they move toward their destination, pieces come into and out of focus of where they are going to…. It will be placed on St. Ann Street, between Chartres and Decatur. The object will grow in proportion to the people moving through the space. Our objective is to create a pattern of movement. The processor then filters the data according to set programming, for instance movement of bodies.
