http://calenderpages.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
QUILTING AND OTHER DOMESTICITIES. Saturday, June 28, 2014. Sunday, June 22, 2014. Summer Solstice means Roses. The last couple weeks of June Cape Cod is full of roses. From deepest red to white, they are everywhere. Some are even so old fashioned they have true rose scent - like these beside a fence that I walk past from the parking lot to the beach where I walk in the morning. I always literally stop and smell the roses. What a way to begin a day. Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Something new for me. As the p...

QUILTING AND OTHER DOMESTICITIES. Saturday, September 27, 2014. Origens of the Baltimore Album Quilt. Much in the history of American quilts is unknown and possibly mythological. Some things are quoted from letters when the writer may have had very partial knowledge of the subject. In Roderick Kirokofe's The American Quilt. Thursday, September 25, 2014. CALENDER PAGES: January 2015
http://calenderpages.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
QUILTING AND OTHER DOMESTICITIES. Tuesday, January 20, 2015. New Quilt made to be a table cloths. This "modern" quilt was inspired by Thomas Kearns in his book about modern quilting. His background was white and he had more circles, but then it was bigger too. This was made to be a table "throw" or table cloth and is now on my table. I really like the backing fabric. What does "modern" mean? Monday, January 12, 2015. Subscribe to: Posts ( Atom ). The mid-70s are a surprise! View my complete profile.

QUILTING AND OTHER DOMESTICITIES. Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Monday, August 18, 2014. Mancuso World Quilt Show. The flowers above are "Coreopsis" subtly done by what method, I'm not sure, by Bernardine Hine of Australia. These stripes, a wonderful play of subtle color that art quilters have been doing for a long time, are done by Kurshid Bamboat of the UK. It's called Versi 1. There were a couple of Kaffee Fasset quilts in a special show of his work, that used color this subtly and beautifully. We had a...

QUILTING AND OTHER DOMESTICITIES. Monday, March 02, 2015. I haven't posted anything for a while but I am working on this flying geese quilt. It's on the design wall, as is obvious. Actually I got it all put together yesterday and it is now on my sewing room floor. I've decided I need another row or two on the bottom and then a six inch royal blue border. QUILTING AND OTHER DOMESTICITIES. Saturday, April 18, 2015. April is National Poetry Month and I have not put any poems on this blog, some are on my Big 7-0 blog. Mostly I have been writing poems. Here is a very recent one - not about this morning, but this morning the same thing happened. At 3:30 - believe it! Not a hint of dawn. For a full hour, yet. They were full throat. Into their mating calls! I pushed mysel f up. Onto an elbow to squint. At the red LED number. So long and hard has the winter.

CALENDER PAGES: February 2015
http://calenderpages.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
QUILTING AND OTHER DOMESTICITIES. Sunday, February 22, 2015. Wonderful to have flowers in the dead of winter. They were given to me at the launch party for Reflections. Friday, February 13, 2015. Today I was on the campus. The scarf was not in a lost-and-found but I wondered if it could possibly still be on the rack where it had been left. I went to that building - lo and behold! There it was, hanging just where I left it. Could the students here be exceptionally honest? Friday, February 06, 2015. Being ...
