Saturday, September 11, 2010. I was hoping to get a video of happy jumping bug for my mom's birthday on Tuesday but he woke up covered in his own semi-dried vomit that day so we had to postpone. He sure looked cute on Wednesday getting up from his nap and was all smiles and jumps. How could you not be in love with this little guy?

Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Last Friday we took all the kids to the Roller Skating Rink in Wellman. Iowa, a small town west of Kalona. Our church rented out the facility for the night for some family fun and we had a blast. It was the first time the boys had been rollerskating, second time for Tay. Wednesday, January 12, 2011. The mother of my lifelong best friend passed away Monday morning, unexpectedly. In her sleep. Barb Masengarb. Was not only the mother to Mike Masengarb. Our prayers go out to the entire Masengarb. Family. Though as difficult as this time is, I know you will all continue living life with generosity and as a family just like Barb taught you. Friday, June 25, 2010. A Mouse in the House? Nope, not in the house but in the grill! I opened up the grill to start cooking a quick dinner before Taylor's softball game and just as I was about to fire it up I looked down and saw this! Yes, that is a nest of baby mice, curled up in a nice little nest at the bottom of our grill. What is crazy is that I just used the grill on Sunday for Father's Day so that little Momma' Mouse did not waste any time building a nest and having the babies.

Wednesday, May 26, 2010. This past Sunday our family took a trip to Davenport for a visit with a group of close high school friends. Amazing as it is, we have continued to stay in touch for the past 17 years since high school graduation.yes I said 17 years! This recent gathering was the first in quite some time when we were able to get whole families together and kids were able to play together as well.
