Replacing the Holding Tank

Replacing the Holding Tank. Tuesday, December 3, 2013. The story leading up to this repair ( click here. Most of this was originally written in July 2010. That's what we said too. But after giving it some thought we felt it was better to have the larger tank for resale value and were willing to put in the extra time to have this done right. With a boat of this quality you just can't do things half-way. I mean it's just disgusting! A common way for reading out tank volume is with a float, just like in you...

Water-maker

This is about a DIY water-maker we made for our Island Packet sailboat. Monday, February 24, 2014. Water, Water Everywhere. The only concern is how much noise does this thing make? Right now (2-24-14) the plan is to begin collecting equipment and have this up and running by Summer 2014. I'll be updating this page as we go along so this may turn into a pretty extensive read. When it's completed, up and running I'll come back and edit to make this entry a little easier to get through. As children we were b...

Shower Water Dam

To keep the water confined to the shower on our boat we built a water dam below the folding door. Tuesday, March 23, 2010. When we first started looking at Island Packets we met Pam and A.D. Wilson, owners of Pappy's Packet, a beautiful blue hulled IP420. They invited us aboard and showed us all the great features of these boats as well as some of the modifications they had made on theirs. It was actually the time we spent with them that convinced us to buy an Island Packet 420. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
