The Perils of Parallel: MIC and the Knights
http://perilsofparallel.blogspot.com/2011/10/mic-and-knights.html
The Perils of Parallel. A blog about multicore, cloud computing, accelerators, Virtual Worlds, and likely other topics, loosely driven by the effective end of Moore’s Law. It’s also a place to try out topics for my next book. Friday, October 28, 2011. MIC and the Knights. The MIC architecture is apparently as real as it can be. There are multiple generations of the MIC chip in roadmaps, and Intel has committed to supply KC (product-level) parts to the University of Texas TACC by January 2013. Intel highl...

Some CS Conference Statistics

Some CS Conference Statistics. After reading Jeff Erickson. S posts on number of papers submitted and accepted to STOC and FOCS. I thought it would be interesting to compare those with a broader range of CS conferences. The majority of the data here is from Kevin Almeroth. S systems and networking conference statistics page. So many thanks go to him. The rest comes from Jeff Erickson, the ACM. Most submitted: 2946 (ICC 2004). Most accepted: 1007 (ICASSP 2002).

Seek and ye shall find. Articles posted by Tharindu Rusira. On my way to Me Dr.Me. July 3, 2016. July 5, 2016. I just realized that I haven’t updated this blog in awhile. It was not because nothing interesting happened in the meantime but an overwhelmingly lot of things took place that I simply could not keep record. I knew I should write something sooner than later. Finally, I am writing. Yay! My machine crashed. So I have some time until my backup is ready. A blessing in disguise? Salt Lake City often ...
