Light, Vision, and Voices: Great Egret
http://mikegarth.blogspot.com/2009/07/great-egret.html
Light, Vision, and Voices. Friday, July 24, 2009. We recently took a trip to Indian Shores. Florida. It's on the Gulf side of Florida. The image above as well as the Blue Heron in the previous post were both made on the beach. It's home to lots of shore birds throughout the year. I am processing images from the trip and will post more images and information on the trip in future posts. July 28, 2009 at 7:10 AM. August 7, 2009 at 6:07 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Light, Vision, and Voices: Vacation Indian Shores
http://mikegarth.blogspot.com/2009/08/vacation-indian-shores.html
Light, Vision, and Voices. Thursday, August 6, 2009. As I have noted in recent posts, we vacationed in Florida. Indian Shores. Specifically. The plane ride from Virginia to Florida was a bit rough. More turbulence on a flight than I can recall in recent years (military flights excluded, haha). We never flew over water so I don't believe the seat cushion/flotation device was ever an issue. Indian Shores is a barrier island. Also, most images in this blog can be enlarged by left clicking on the image.

Light, Vision, and Voices: December 2008
http://mikegarth.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Light, Vision, and Voices. Saturday, December 13, 2008. Warming Up For the Holidays. Here is a single image of Holiday Lights. From our very own Christmas tree. I'm sure there will be plenty more images from the Holiday Season, so I consider this to be a warm-up. It's fun to look through the viewfinder and discover the different designs made by the lights by varying focal lengths and degrees of focus. Thursday, December 11, 2008. Adoption of the Infamous Peanut! I recently learned through this website.

Light, Vision, and Voices: November 2008
http://mikegarth.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Light, Vision, and Voices. Saturday, November 29, 2008. Headshots, Model Releases, and a 90-Minute Shoot. I like to shoot headshots. Being in Virginia, it isn't exactly an actor hotspot. It certainly isn't NYC or LA. But there are actors and actresses in this area performing locally and/or looking to break into the field on a larger scale. I get contacted to do headshots on a fairly regular basis. Monday, November 24, 2008. And, More Autumn Abstracts. Sunday, November 23, 2008. Saturday, November 22, 2008.

Light, Vision, and Voices: The Indian Shores Sky
http://mikegarth.blogspot.com/2009/08/indian-shores-sky.html
Light, Vision, and Voices. Friday, August 14, 2009. The Indian Shores Sky. Anyway, all the images here were handheld. There really isn't much, if any, camera movement noticeable in these. That's because I used a relatively open aperture. The types of images here are best exposed with a small aperture for greater depth of field. That's where the tripod (and remote shutter release) assists you. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The Indian Shores Sky. More From The Shore.
