Regan's Rubric: September 12, 2004
http://regansrubric.blogspot.com/2004_09_12_archive.html
A collection of short stories, thoughts, and general experiences. Saturday, September 18, 2004. Diplomatic Tango. Anyone? My previous post could lead someone to believe that I support Bush for President. I would like to point out the policies of Bush I find reproachable. There are many counter arguments to the points I am about to raise, but I do not have time to rebut or address them all, so I will not try. They have trouble doing so because we are taking the fight to them. We are offering them the ...

Regan's Rubric: Too Many Victims & Not Enough Adults
http://regansrubric.blogspot.com/2004/10/too-many-victims-not-enough-adults.html
A collection of short stories, thoughts, and general experiences. Monday, October 11, 2004. Too Many Victims and Not Enough Adults. I would like to meet Andy Rooney. There are very few people these days who have traditional American values. I feel Mr. Rooney is one of them. I think America would be a better place if more people took responsibility for their actions and stopped letting everyone claim victim status. Andy Rooney said on 60 minutes a few weeks back:. ARE YOU LISTENING MARTHA BURKE? When 70% ...

Regan's Rubric: Shooting Jackal's
http://regansrubric.blogspot.com/2004/10/shooting-jackals.html
A collection of short stories, thoughts, and general experiences. Wednesday, October 13, 2004. I woke up to the sound of Howitzers firing counter battery fire. The distinctive thumps rattled the window in my room. I have also put ductape and card board on the window to block the sun. The tape and cardboard also make me feel more comfortable while I sleep. I know that it will not stop any of the frag but it is comforting thinking that there is at least a little more stuff between death and me. Having grab...

Regan's Rubric: Parting Was Such Sweet Sorrow
http://regansrubric.blogspot.com/2004/11/parting-was-such-sweet-sorrow.html
A collection of short stories, thoughts, and general experiences. Saturday, November 06, 2004. Parting Was Such Sweet Sorrow. I have been home about 10 days. The shock of being back in civilized culture is disconcerting at times. I was really anti-social the first 48-72 hours. Its good to be back in the United States again, although I do miss Iraq(I sort of expected this). All my stuff is still in storage so I have been living on a friends couch till my townhouse is vacated on the 13th of this month.

Friday, January 28, 2005. A Very Special Effect. Looking at the latest pictures of pre-election violence in Iraq, this little gem fairly leapt out at me. Look at the pictures carefully, then read the analysis below. A car bursts into flames after it exploded in front of a school which was scheduled to be used as a voting center in Baghdad January 28, 2005. Hours earlier in the same area in southern Baghdad, a car bomb exploded next to a police station, killing four Iraqi civilians, police said. R...A pho...
