Journies of Julie: March 2011
http://julie-walas.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Foot of the Lake. So whenever work sends me out that way, I'm sure to tack on a day or two to relax with the family. This past October, Binh and I took a quick weekend trip from work in Chicago to drive up to Fond Du Lac, WI at the foot of (translation) Lake Winnebago, an hour or so north of Milwaukee. http://julie-walas.blogspot.com/2011/04/thankful-thanksgiving.html
Wednesday, April 13, 2011. This Thanksgiving was a little different for Binh and I. Instead of the hours of football, family games, slow cooked turkey and cranberries, and lazy lounging- we checked into the chaos of the command center at 8 Days of Hope. Nashville, a Christian mission, flood rebuilding project, with hundreds of other volunteers. And our very happy dinner table- we had been working some long days by this point and we were grateful for the Thanksgiving meal provided to us that night. Wareho...
