Life is either an adventure or nothing.". The extroverted story of my introverted self. Friday, October 2, 2009. Two weeks and counting. I can't believe I've been here two weeks! I've met people and walked more than I have in my life and eaten so many different foods I can't keep up. Today I tried Palačinke (crepes) at Cafe Brasil. They were pretty good-wish I'd taken a picture. They had bananas and chocolate inside with sladoled čokolada (chocolate icecream) and slag (whipped cream) on top! Apparently i...

Holst Happenings: Yosemite Camping Adventure
http://tomandkatieh.blogspot.com/2014/08/yosemite-camping-adventure.html
Sunday, August 24, 2014. Our friends the Geisheimers asked us to go camping at Yosemite with them 6 months ago and the trip finally happened! They took it upon themselves to go to the trouble of making the reservations (5 months in advance) and we got to go camp at one of God's gorgeous creations! Tom practice camped with the kids a couple of times in the backyard to get them used to it and to see what we'd need for bedding. Laura was thrilled each time they did it. Belly shot at 28 weeks. It wasn't a lo...

The Simms Family: State Fair
http://simmsfamilylatest.blogspot.com/2010/10/state-fair.html
Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Over the past month not only was Steven in school but he was also having to work 7 days a week on one of his projects at the fair grounds in Perry GA. Nightmare! And that he was awesome at his job! The fair was a lot of fun, but such a culture shock for the English side of me! Case example number 1:. Fair food: aka a mound of grease with no nutrition whatsoever, and ridiculously expensive! A chair lift without snow makes absolutely no sense to me but hey ho! We had an absolute ...
