Saturday, October 16, 2010. Irene got moved to a room with window which she shares with another person. Charlie, Rosemary, Sandra and Joan visited her during the day. Jana ,Petra and I visited with her in the evening. Irene looked good she even had rosy cheeks! She was able to sit up ans stand up for a short period of time. Wednesday, November 18, 2009. No news is good news for Irene. I am going in for the dreaded CT scan that will show if the surgery has been successful. And will determine what will happen to me next. Since my last blog, I have been getting stronger, doing more (including a dance workshop with Jana) and trying to settle into some form of normalcy. Plans That still sounds weird. Saturday, August 15, 2009. Irene had a bit of rough start in the morning, the new pain medication did not agree with her but later in the afternoon after changing the medication she got much better and managed for the first time to go to powder room by herself. Also she got moved to new room # 9610 from semi intensive care room because she is doing much better. Way to go Irene the Bean! For the first time after the surgery Irene talked to Dr. Scudamore. During doctor's visit Rosemary was there and assured.

Saturday, August 8, 2009. This is the first blog entry on this site. I am gorging myself on salmon and blueberries in preparation for Wednesday's surgery. Reason for this is restricted food intake once surgery gets going. So please do not talk to me about food for at least a week. Thanks for your consideration. My family will be blogging on my behalf!
