The usual support crew were on hand Nathan and Luke with respective girlfriends and a great mate Xavier made a guest appearance to see what all this fuss is about with this thing called 24hr mtbing, he comes from a sheltered sporting background of triathlons where roads a sealed, hills a levelled so roads become flat and mud! Over the last couple of laps, m...

Dirtrider: WEMBO 24Hr
http://jasonquigley.blogspot.com/2013/10/wembo-24hr.html
Thursday, October 17, 2013. Now that the dust has settled I've had a few beers, to try and help erase the memories of those last few hrs last Sunday morning I thought it would be about time to put some words to paper (so to speak) and let those interested in the goings on last weekend at the WEMBO 24hr solo champs of how the weekend unfolded for me. Was rolling through pits, ensuring to pick up any food and bottles within the 3mt frontage of the support tent! In true 24hr racing fashion the night laps ro...

Sunday, August 26, 2012. How many bikes is too many? The common problem really, what is the right number of bikes one should own at any one point in time? Up until recently this number for me is 4. Road bike, commuter (which for me is a single speed boat anchor) and 2 mountain bikes- hardtail Rocky Mountain Vertex 990RSL and a soon to be garaged Rocky Mountain Element 999RSL dual suspension. The common equation typically goes like this. Is the number of bikes you currently own. 8211; 1) where. It's a 650...

Thursday, May 2, 2013. Golden Triangle Epic 100 Mile (well 90 miles to be accurate). Life has been pretty busy since Easter, the bikes have seen some use, including a sweet fun ride with the iRide Crew along with some other cool dudes including Simon Ross from Adventure Brands and Randy McInnis, our great saviour from Rocky Mountain bikes heartland! Up at Buxton a few weeks ago the trail fairies have been doing some work up there since I rode there back in November and things are looking awesome.

Dirtrider: Wombat 24hr
http://jasonquigley.blogspot.com/2013/11/wombat-24hr.html
Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Importantly, the body had recovered really well following Canberra and as Bec pointed out, I had only ridden 22 1/2hrs at Canberra! Second challenge was to wrangle some time off work, typically I would have a week off following but that was never going to get approved, so I went with only 2 days and that was given the green light from the bosses. In fact during this race the handlebar Betty light ran at 40% and the helmet Betty R was locked in at 50%. Have a chat to Bill, they...

http://jasonquigley.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Pretty much everything is sorted all I have to do is load the caravan up, make sure Cam turns up and Nath finally gets his hands on a car to borrow from work so as to tow Mum and Dads caravan rather than using our trailer tent. Caravan should be far less painful in setting up and pulling down after the race, not that I do any of the packing up. Links to this post. This blog contains the daily grind of a bloke striving to be a mediocre cyclist. A bunch of training logs, with some comments thrown in to keep me amused (it's ok for you to be amused as well). Be warned, this site contains references to poop. Wednesday, 30 September 2009. Oh man, I feel smashed today. Who would have thought it after 2 fast paced rides yesterday? Posted by Neil Robinson. Tuesday, 29 September 2009. I sat on almost all the way down to Mordi, pulling one longish turn towards the end. O...
