Monday, June 3, 2013. Update on the Orchard:. It's been a good year so far. The trees are just finishing their blossoms, and the little apples are starting to grow! Apples take between 4 and 5 months to grow from flowers to delicious, and the process starts in late mid to late May. They will continue to develop through the summer months, getting larger and changing from green to the wonderful variety of colors seen at harvest time, including yellow, yellow-orange, red, pink, and even striped!
