Carolina laurelcherry, American plum, European plum, Mexican plum, black cherry, flatwood plum. Plum trees have dense foliage and can grow to form thickets. Their height can range from 15-35ft. The height of the black cherry tree can reach 50-60 ft. Habit and Life Cycle. Plums are perennial plants with shallow roots. Although they grow rapidly they are short-lived. Saw greenbriar, cat greenbriar, laurel greenbriar, sarsparilla vine, kidneyleaf greenbrier, bristly greenbrier, roundleaf greenbriar and coral greenbriar. Greenbriar is a woody, climbing vine with tough stems containing thorns and capable of forming dense shrub-like stands. Habit and Life Cycle. Greenbriar is a perennial, rapid growing evergreen which can be found in dry, uplands to moist lowlands. Greenbriar grows mainly in the summer and spring months.
